Reconfigurable Omni-Metasurface Using Simultaneous Reflection and Transmission Pre-Phase Distribution for Single Beam Scanning
In this paper, we propose a reconfigurable prephase omnidirectional metasurface (RPOM). The RPOM can achieve single-beam radiation under normally incident circularly polarized plane waves by a continuous pre-phase distribution. By dynamically controlling the state of the diodes integrated into the metasurface, the metasurface can manipulate the transmission and reflection of circularly polarized waves, and the position of the source is not restricted. The simulation results of the <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$12 \times 12$</tex>-element metasurface array show that the array has the beam scanning ability from 0° to 30° with an axial ratio is less than 3 dB.
