Additive Manufacturing for Controlled Permittivity Ceramic - From Dielectric Characterization to Dielectric Resonator Antenna Measurement
This work focuses on the additive manufacturing of ceramic resonators with controlled permittivity using a tailormade gyroid structure. The effective characteristics of the materials are measured and compared to existing models, and finally used to design and fabricate dielectric resonator antennas. Results show that the effective permittivity can be controlled on a wide range and that the antennas fabricated with these structures have the same performances than those fabricated from bulk material but for half the weight.
