Formation trajectory tracking control for multiaircraft: An event‐triggered fixed time approach

Abstract The aircraft leader trajectory tracking controller (ALTTC) and aircraft followers formation tracking controller (AFFTC) with dynamic input are taken into consideration to address the issue of multiple aircraft systems (MASs) trajectory tracking and formation distributed cooperative control. A fixed time formation trajectory tracking control strategy using distributed time‐varying MASs event‐triggered class is proposed. First of all, this paper designed the fixed time ALTTC using backstepping technology to achieve a fast leader‐tracking position and eliminate tracking errors. Secondly, considering reducing the control input time of the transmission process and improving the calculation efficiency of the controller, this paper designs a fixed time aircraft formation tracking controller with multilayer event triggering conditions to realize the zero of the formation tracking error limit. The Lyapunov stability approach has proved that the fixed time closed‐loop system is stable in the presence of asynchronous multilayer event triggering. In addition, the event‐triggering method can be made to exclude Zeno behavior. Finally, the simulation results show that the MASs trajectory tracking control method proposed in this paper can achieve multiaircraft distributed formation tracking control and show the effectiveness of the proposed control method.
