Meditation and Ayurvedic Physiology: Harmonizing Doshas and Enhancing Prana
Meditation, an ancient practice rooted in various cultural and spiritual traditions, has gained significant attention in contemporary health sciences owing to its profound impact on mental and physical well-being. Ayurveda, the traditional system of medicine in India, offers a unique perspective on human physiology, emphasizing the balance of doshas (Vata, Pitta, and Kapha) as the foundation of health. This article explores the correlation between meditation and Ayurvedic physiology, highlighting how meditation influences doshas, enhances prana (life force), and promotes holistic health. The integration of meditation practices with Ayurvedic principles provides a synergistic approach for achieving optimal health and well-being. This review synthesizes the current knowledge and proposes a framework for further research in this field. Key words: Meditation, Ayurveda, Doshas, Prana, Holistic Health, Mind-Body Connection
