Parental Involvement in Latinx Motherhood
Framework Findings ConclusionsThe Hoover-Dempsey & Sandler model (1997) suggests variables that create patterns of influence on the parental involvement process: 1) Parental role construction defines parents' beliefs about what they are supposed to do in their children's education, 2) Sense of efficacy in helping their children succeed in school and, 3) General invitations, demands, and opportunities for involvement refer to parents' perceptions that the child and school want them to be involved.
