Derivation or Rederivation: Back-Wordformation in Russian

The article explains the phenomenon of reverse word formation in the modern Russian language from a historical point of view: using the example of correlative pairs of verbs of emotional and physical states (with and without -ся), the diachronic primacy of verbs with -ся   and the derivation of the corresponding causatives is proven.
