Core–shell Ru/NiO x @graphene composite aerogels as efficient bifunctional electrocatalysts for overall water splitting

A crystalline/amorphous Ru/NiO x @GA-based composite catalyst (Ru/NiO x @GA) was prepared. Ru/NiO x @GA only required a low potential of 32 mV and 237 mV to reach 10 mA cm −2 for HER and OER, respectively, and exhibited good cycling stability.

Abstract

A crystalline/amorphous Ru/NiO x @GA-based composite catalyst (Ru/NiO x @GA) was prepared. Ru/NiO x @GA only required a low potential of 32 mV and 237 mV to reach 10 mA cm −2 for HER and OER, respectively, and exhibited good cycling stability.
