Komunikasi Pemerintah Desa Sumbersewu dalam Menjaga Kerukunan Umat Beragama

This research aims to examine the forms, implementation, and implications of communication carried out by the Sumbersewu Village Government in maintaining religious harmony within a religiously plural society. We collected data using a qualitative approach through observation, structured interviews, and documentation. The theories used include source credibility theory, dialogic theory, and dialectical relationship theory. The research results show that the forms of communication used include interpersonal communication, group communication, and mass communication. Interpersonal communication is carried out through the tradition of "ngelencer" during religious holiday celebrations, group communication is manifested in speeches at religious activities such as Melasti, while mass communication is conducted through the use of the village's official social media. The implications of this communication strategy reflect the success of the village government in strengthening interfaith tolerance, ensuring equality in the practice of worship, and building interfaith social cooperation. These findings affirm that planned, inclusive, and locally based communication can create social cohesion in multicultural societies. Thus, the educational communication strategy of Sumbersewu village can serve as a model for managing religious harmony in other regions with similar diversity challenges.
