Effects of Magnetic Field Exposure on Emotional Responses in Living Organisms
This study investigates the effects of exposure to a 400 kHz magnetic field on anxiety-like behavior in laboratory mice. With the increasing use of electromagnetic devices across various fields, biological exposure to electromagnetic waves is also increasing. However, data on their biological effects remains limited. Previous studies have demonstrated that exposure to a 400 kHz magnetic field affects brain substances, suggesting potential impacts on emotional behavior. In this study, mice are exposed to a magnetic field and subjected to open field and elevated plus maze tests to evaluate their anxiety-like behavior. The results show a significant increase in anxiety-like behavior in the exposed group compared to the control. These findings provide further evidence that exposure to a 400 kHz magnetic field may promote anxiety-like responses in novel and elevated environments, highlighting the potential impact of electromagnetic exposure on emotional regulation.
