Packaging Design and Manufacturing of an Implantable Episclera Surface Stimulator
This study presents a novel packaging scheme for an implantable episcleral surface stimulator aimed at treating eye diseases. The proposed packaging scheme addresses safety, functionality, reliability, and particularly manufacturability which are essential for practical applications. Reliability is validated through high-temperature saline soaking tests. The stimulator samples indicate that the necessary criteria can be met. The successful packaging scheme can pave the way for advancements in implantable medical device technology.
