Refractive Index Profile Analysis of Single Mode Polymer Optical Waveguide by using Propagation-Mode near Field Method
To meet a demand for higher performance data centers represented by AI/ML, considering the integration of optical waveguides on organic packages to place Opto-Electric(OE) conversion components in the extreme close of xPUs. As a candidate, we are considering a single mode waveguide using polymers. Still, the measurement equipment for RIP (refractive index profile), which is indispensable for its design, have not been established especially single mode waveguide. In this report, we studied measurement techniques of RIP and estimated its validity.
