ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES IN LOCAL MEDIA

The article identifies the peculiarities of coverage of environmental issues in the local media in the context of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the russian aggressor. The authors of the article have identified the patterns of actualization of environmental issues in journalistic investigations on the example of NGL.media. The main ways of data visualization in publications, including interactive maps aimed at providing a high-quality visual representation of the destructive effects caused by russian aggression on the environment. The importance of covering environmental issues in local media aimed at qualitative environmental restoration, in particular of the de-occupied territories, is substantiated. The authors of the article proved that the journalistic investigations of the NGL.media authors formed a solid evidence base for the russian ecocide on the territory of Ukraine.
