College students are in a critical period of forming their outlook on life, worldview, and values, making them vulnerable to the impact of negative network subcultures. Based on a literature review, this study analyzes the characteristics of short videos from the perspective of network subculture and their impacts on college students. Meanwhile, through practical exploration, it proposes specific methods for integrating short videos into college students’ ideological and political education.
