Application of distributed acoustic sensors in communication cable operation and maintenance
Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) technology has broad application prospects in the operation and maintenance of communication cables. This technology injects laser pulses into the cable and utilizes Rayleigh scattering caused by these pulses to monitor vibration signals along the cable in real time and continuously, thereby sensing changes in the surrounding environment. This not only improves the speed and accuracy of fault localization but also effectively reduces the risks posed by human interference and natural disasters. By combining big data analysis and visualization, DAS technology provides efficient tools for the operation and maintenance of communication cables, significantly enhancing operators' emergency response capabilities and decision-making efficiency.
