Optimisation of Raman amplification based on distributed power monitoring of communication signals
We have developed an optimization model using genetic algorithms for ultra-long span distributed power monitoring. This model processes data from longitudinal power monitoring to optimize Raman amplifier parameters across various levels. Implementing these optimizations to dynamically regulate the Raman amplifiers' pump power, we have successfully enhanced a 400G Optical Transport Network (OTN) system, featuring 50G Baud BP-16QAM, and improved the multiwavelength gain-flatness performance by 5.9dB.
