First Symposium on Emerging Trends in Organometallics and Catalysis (ETOMC), 2024

Organometallic chemistry has been for the last several decades a field of intensive research.Over the period, significant advances have been made regarding the generation of complexes featuring bonds between transition metals and carbon atoms.More recently, organometallic compounds containing main group atoms have moved into the focus of research.However, organometallic research has not only generated new and interesting class of complexes but also had a profound effect on important catalytic transformations such as CC cross-coupling reactions or the olefin metatheses.The Symposium on Emerging Trends in Organometallic Chemistry 2024 (ETOMC) focussed on the recent developments in organometallics, catalysis, and the computational aspects thereof.The ETOMC was organized by IISER Kolkata at their beautiful campus just outside the hustle of the city of Kolkata during July 12-13 th , 2024 as a satellite symposium preceding the 30
