Peroneal Tendon Subluxation: An External Rotation Osteotomy of the Distal Fibula
Although not widely encountered, peroneal tendon subluxation is a clinically significant condition that can cause pain, instability, and functional impairment in affected individuals. This paper describes an external rotation osteotomy of the distal fibula as a possible treatment option for peroneal tendon subluxation. The objective of this approach is to provide additional stability for the peroneal tendons, which may be helpful in cases of abnormal bony anatomy. Level of Evidence : Diagnostic Level V.
