Reflections on the Application of Blockchain in Pharmaceutical E-Commerce Traceability and Anti-Counterfeiting

The distribution of drugs through e-commerce effectively addresses the issue of idleness and maximises demand. The anti-counterfeit traceability of drug e-commerce information plays a crucial role in ensuring drug safety. Improving information traceability and anti-counterfeit mechanisms is conducive to optimising supply chain security and the construction of pharmaceutical e-commerce. The technical attributes of blockchain technology provide a solution for the traceability and anti-counterfeiting of pharmaceuticals and also enhance the security management factor of pharmaceuticals in the e-commerce process. This study provides an analysis of the blockchain's application for traceability and anti-counterfeiting while also highlighting its limitations and outlining future research directions.
