Design of Hysteresis Band Current Control for Induction Motor Drive Powered by Wind Energy Source
The system uses wind energy as its power source and is a three-phase inverter controlled by hysteresis current. Through a rectifier circuit, a wind turbine generator provides the three-phase inverter's input DC power. The purpose of a capacitor is to lessen the oscillation of the rectifier's DC voltage output. The hysteresis current control approach is used to generate the inverter's switching pulses. This system has the advantage of reducing low frequency harmonics and controlling the fundamental amplitude based on frequency to the hysteresis current control. MATLAB simulations are used to validate the system's outputs.
