Design of AI-Powered EEG System to Translate Thoughts to Words

The growing interest in converting imagined speech into text aims to bridge communication barriers for individuals with speech impairments. The development of advanced communication technologies has gained momentum, with a focus on improving interaction and enhancing the quality of life. Traditional assistive tools often fall short in speed and efficiency, underscoring the need for more innovative solutions. Recent advancements in Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCIs) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) provide new opportunities to bypass physical limitations by translating brain signals directly into words. This paper aims to develop a system that translates real-time EEG signals into words, offering an alternative communication method for individuals with speech disabilities. The system captures brain signals by using Emotiv Pro headset, processes them, classifies them through deep learning methods, and generates corresponding words that are both displayed on a screen and pronounced audibly.
