Exploring the Impact of Enabling PIE on System Performance in Cloud-Native Networking
Three limit simulations of real user environments were conducted to test the impact of enabling Position Independent Executable (PIE) on the performance of Linux 64-bit systems. Based on the comparative analysis with Linux 32-bit systems, the stability of the system was evaluated using fault rates, while system performance was assessed using TPS (transactions per second) values. Additionally, a security analysis of the system was conducted. The results indicate that enabling PIE significantly enhances the security of Linux 64-bit systems. The results show that enabling PIE can significantly enhance the security of 64-bit Linux systems. The system fault rate is 0,which is advantageous for improving system scalability. Although there is some fluctuation in the TPS values, the magnitude is small, indicating potential for further enhancing system performance. Enabling or disabling PIE does not significantly affect the overall performance stability of the Linux 64-bit system.
