Flux-Based Predictive Control for Two-Level Post-Fault Tolerant Inverters Fed IM Drives
The three-phase four-switch (B4) inverters under predictive torque control (PTC) are often applied as fault-tolerant alternative to solve the open/short-circuit fault of the three-phase six-switch (B6) inverters. However, conventional PTC strategy suffers from the tedious adjustment of weighting factors. Therefore, predictive flux control (PFC) has been suggested based on removing the flux weighting factor from the implementation scheme. In this paper, the performance of the PFC strategy under the post fault tolerant B4 inverter fed IM drives are evaluated at transient and steady-state operations.
