Energy Selective Structure With High Shielding Efficiency Based on Slotline
An energy selective structure (ESS) with high shielding efficiency (SE) based on slotline for high-power microwave (HPM) protection is proposed in this letter. The unit structure ingeniously uses stacked slotline structures to achieve the conversion between spatial waves and guided waves, thereby directly transforming the challenging issue of energy selection in spatial fields into one related to circuit structures. The accurate circuit model is established for this structure can provide effective design guidance. After model design, simulation, and testing, the structure has achieved insertion loss (IL) below 1 dB in the range of 4.1–5.3 GHz (relative bandwidth 25.5%) in an extremely simple and easy to process form and has achieved ultrahigh shielding capability of over 30 dB throughout the entire frequency band, demonstrating great potential for application.
