Abortamento inseguro e o acolhimento em saúde: uma revisão de escopo
Abortion is considered unsafe when the procedures used to perform it are not in accordance with medical standards. The practice of unsafe abortion takes place under the cover of prohibitive legislation. The aim of this comprehensive review is to map what the literature reveals about health care for women following unsafe abortion. The question is, what does the literature reveal about health care for women after unsafe abortion? Three databases were used and 46 articles were selected for discussion. It was discussed that there are different abortion pathways and that these are related to social inequality and racism. The conclusion is that unsafe abortion results in poor health care, and that difficulties in postabortion care lead to avoidable consequences.
