An Efficiency Optimization Strategy for Paralleled Phase‐Shift Full‐Bridge Modules
ABSTRACT An optimisation approach aimed at boosting the efficiency of an input parallel output parallel (IPOP) converter under light load conditions is proposed in this paper, which is constructed using two phase‐shift full‐bridge (PSFB) modules. The study begins by detailing the loss characteristics of the PSFB module across various load scenarios and examines how soft switching influences the overall efficiency of the converter. Following this, a numerical analysis is conducted to refine the power distribution strategy among the modules when operating under light loads, thereby maximizing efficiency. To demonstrate the practical application of this optimisation strategy, a 15 kW prototype is developed and tested.
