Experiments on Cutting by a Single Abrasive Grain with Different Lubrication

In scratching by a single abrasive grain of heat-resistant nickel alloy, the influence of the grain geometry (sharp or blunt) and the lubrication (none, canola oil, emulsion) on the contact interaction, the forces, and the vibroacoustic and acoustic emission signals is investigated.
