BIOLOGICAL ASPECTS OF PET IMAGING

The factors affecting the distribution of PET radiopharmaceuticals in the body after their administration to the patient are studied. The analysis of PET data reflecting changes in the course of bioprocesses in the body in pathologies is carried out. Influence of biological, physical and chemical properties on behavior and distribution in the body of radiopharmaceuticals is shown. The article presents data on the mechanisms of accumulation and localization of the most commonly used radiopharmaceuticals and analyzes the most studied mechanisms.

Abstract
