Summary This paper describes the evolution of well completion applied in Reservoir-C in Al Shaheen field and the main issues faced from a reservoir management perspective. Subsequently, details given on the recent advanced completion trial where two (2) different technologies were deployed ( Figure 1 ), passive control completion with Inflow Control Devices (ICD’s) and active control completions with multi-position downhole Inflow Control Valves (ICV’s), and how their usage impacted optimizing production.
