Exploring the Effect and Mechanism of Chinese Traditional Exercises on Depression Based on Gut Microbiota
Depression is a common clinical mental disorder with many adverse reactions to drug treatment and poor tolerance and compliance. The Traditional Chinese exercise method has a unique function and curative effect by regulating zang-fu organs, strengthening tendons and bones, improving patients’ psychological state of anxiety and depression. In recent years, it has been found that the imbalance of intestinal flora and the occurrence of “intestinal leakage” can lead to depression. Traditional methods can improve depression by regulating the proportion of intestinal flora and its metabolites. This article reviews the status quo of the treatment of depression by traditional sports techniques such as Tai Chi, Eight trigrams boxing, and Five-animal exercises and the mechanism of the treatment of depression based on intestinal flora, providing new ideas and basis for clinical practice.
