AIGC Empowers Children’s Book Publishing—The Process Change and Character Transformation behind “AI Youth: The Martian Survival Challenge”

In recent years, driven by AIGC technology, the publishing industry has experienced unprecedented challenges and opportunities. This article takes the first children’s AI co-creation book in China, “AI Youth: The Martian Survival Challenge”, as an example to analyze the changes brought by generative AI to the traditional publishing process, as well as the resulting need for editor role transformation. The study found that human-computer collaborative creation and intelligent proofreading tools make the publishing process more agile and efficient. At the same time, the role of editors has shifted from traditional “text craftsmen” to “creative architects”. So, publishing institutions should build a digital ecosystem that integrates creative assistance, risk control, and copyright management, and strengthen the construction of technology platforms.
