Target Wake Time-Based Energy-Efficient Access Scheduling Strategy for Power IOT
With the development of smart grids and power Internet of Things (IoT), the demand for terminal access such as status monitoring, surveillance, and unmanned inspection has sharply increased, resulting in a large number of Overlapping Basic Service Set (OBSS) scenarios. Serious wireless collisions and in Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) further exacerbate the throughput degradation and energy consumption bottleneck of passive terminals. This paper focuses on the energy-saving design principles of sleep and wake-up, mathematically constructs an access optimization model for power IoT services, and proposes a multi-service energy-saving access scheduling algorithm for power IoT based on Target Wake Time (TWT) mechanism in WiFi6. Through simulation experiments compared with the traditional access mechanism, the proposed scheme shows better throughput performance with 47.84% improvement and energy efficiency with 35.99% improvement in dense OBSS scenarios.
