Chronic periodontal diseases are one of the most common and pressing problems in modern dentistry and do not tend to decrease, in the absence of effective and timely restorative treatments can lead to tooth loss, reducing the quality of life of patients. The polyetiology of periodontal diseases dictates conditions where a comprehensive and individual approach is an integral part of treatment and where the patient's motivation for daily oral care is of no small importance. In chronic periodontal diseases, timely restorative treatment is of great importance in maintaining the integrity of the dental system, since each subsequent exacerbation leads to gum recession. When planning complex treatment, it is necessary to take into account the importance of local exposure, since they show quite effective results. When prescribing antimicrobial drugs, it is necessary to take into account its pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics. Determination of antibiotic resistance with mandatory observation of the effect in the first days after taking the drugs is of great importance for increasing the effectiveness of treatment. Antiseptics with a chemical composition, when used for a long time and without control, can affect the composition of the oral microflora. To reduce the drug load on the body in mild and uncomplicated forms of periodontal tissue diseases, it is considered appropriate to use various combinations of mineral and natural preparations with therapeutic physical factors. When selecting the optimal combination of preparations with physiotherapeutic methods of treatment, it is possible to obtain effective results necessary to maintain the integrity of the dentition, which is of great importance for the health of patients in general. There are numerous methods with proven effectiveness using preparations of plant and mineral origin with physical factors that are recommended for the treatment of periodontal tissue diseases.
