SEVERE PREECLAMPSIA AS A RISK OF MATERNAL MORTALITY
Severe preeclampsia is a problem that does not lose its relevance, despite ongoing preventive and therapeutic measures, and remains one of the most important causes of perinatal morbidity and mortality. Indicators of severe preeclampsia, the presence of a concomitant diagnosis of severe preeclampsia, and groups of obstetric hospitals providing medical care were analyzed. A retrospective study of the causes potentially influencing the risk of developing this disease in women identified some prognostic ally significant criteria. The severe course of preeclampsia depends on the age of the woman; it most often occurs in pregnant women in the age group of 40 years and older; clinical and anamnestic characteristics of women with this pathology are given.
