PREVENTABLE MORTALITY OF RURAL POPULATION (Literature review)
This article provides a review of the literature on preventable mortality in rural areas. The majority (more than 65 %) of Kyrgyzstan's population lives in rural areas. Rural residents have higher mortality rates than urban residents, which is associated with limited access to medical services, poor awareness of a healthy lifestyle, and low levels of education. Indicators of preventable mortality are a marker of the presence of problems in the health system.
