Formulation and evaluation of polyherbal soap

The purpose of the present research work was to formulate and evaluate Polyherbal soap. Herbal soap offers several advantages over other soaps. The majority of existing soaps which has prepared from drugs of synthetic origin and give extras fairness to body, but it has several side effects such as itching or several allergic reactions. Herbal soap does not have any of these side effects, without side effects it gives the fairness look to skin. Method carried out to prepare herbal soap was very simple. The Polyherbal soap incorporating rice, potato, tea tree oil, nutmeg, turmeric, aloe vera, sandle wood essential oil and vitamin E capsule, enhancing skin health and providing natural cleansing properties. The formulation process involved extracting bioactive compounds from each ingredient, followed by saponification to create the final soap product. The chosen ingredients were selected for their synergistic benefits rice for its exploiting properties, potato for its skin brightening property, tea tree oil for its antimicrobial effects, nutmeg for its anti-inflammatory benefits, turmeric for its antioxidant properties and aloe vera for its moisturizing effects. Physical and chemical evaluation of soap included pH testing, moisture content assessment, and lathering ability analysis. Additionally, user trials were conducted to assess the soaps effectiveness and skin compatibility. Results indicated that the formulated Polyherbal soap exhibited favourable characteristics, including a balanced pH, good lathering ability, and positive user feedback regarding skin feel and appearance. The inclusion of natural ingredients demonstrated promising potential for promoting skin health while minimizing the risk of irritation. This study suggest that Polyherbal formulations could offer a holistic approach to skin care.
