EVALUATION STUDY TO MITIGATE EXCESSIVE DC POWER CABLE CONGESTION AT TELECOMMUNICATION SITES, REDUCE EXCESSIVE CABLE COST ANALYSIS REPORT & PROVIDE COMPLETE OPTIMUM SOLUTION
This paper discovers the challenges faced in all core network sites, principally the excessive use of DC cables across the entire core network. This not only acquires significant costs but puts the exchange at risk and jeopardizes the stability of the exchange. The voltage drops across DC cables is less than 1 VDC, while an increasing number of cables are being added to power telecommunication technologies worsen the situation & further compounding these issues. The DC system entirely powers up telecommunications network with a -48 VDC supply as mandated by IEEE standards, is critical for powering diverse ICT technologies. The DC power plant must maintain a minimum adjustable output voltage between -48 VDC and -54.37 system voltage VDC. Telecommunication technologies ICT loads such as Transmission, IPMPLS, FTTH, and IGW equipment operate on the DC system at -48 VDC supply.
