Różnice w walencji/ rekcji czasowników niemieckich i polskich na przykładzie czasowników zwrotnych i prefigowanych

The purpose of this study is to find among semantically equivalent Polish verbs and their German counterparts, including both simple words and prefixed derivatives, the differences in valence/rection occurring among the closest possible equivalents, i.e. those created with full adherence to the principle of translation fidelity. In terms of scope, the study focuses on Polish reflexive verbs and their non-reflexive German equivalents and on German prefixed verbs and their equivalents among Polish simple verbs. While studies of this type often require a separate focus on each lexeme under study, in the case of the two aforementioned ranges, it seems possible to conduct them on a regular basis. The study showed that among Polish semantically equivalent German prefigured verbs, simple verbs with prepositional complement are the most typical.
