O ukraińskim i rosyjskim przekładzie Akademii Pana Kleksa Jana Brzechwy

The article will present results of an analysis of translations of the children's work Jan Brzechwa's Akademia Pana Kleksa into Ukrainian and Russian. The analysis of translation strategies will be compared on the basis of selected examples, translation decisions, applied translation transfor-mations and their influence on the reception of the novel by foreign readers will be discussed in detail. The research will also take into account the cultural context, the educational aspect and the social conditions that influenced the growing interest in Polish children's literature in the Ukrainian and Russian-speaking markets. Particular emphasis will be placed on the role of translators in shaping cultural understanding.
