The ONOS provides universal access to academic e-resources which enhance the research & development and education in agriculture and its allied sciences. This initiative in bridging knowledge gaps and promoting equitable access to scholarly e-resources. The NEP 20 focuses on the importance and role of research and development for achieving quality education and impact on national progress. The PM-ONOS has a positive impact on the research fraternity of agricultural research and provides a huge window to access the scholarly material it has benefited the agricultural education and research fraternity. This study is an attempt to understand the union government’s vision to create a unique knowledge ecosystem, and how PM-ONOS responds in that ecosystem, and then take a look at its benefits and limitations by comparing it with other consortias that merged with the PM-ONOS.
