Hybrid resilient event‐triggered control for second‐order multi‐agent systems

Abstract This study delves into a novel resilient event‐triggered mechanism (RETM) tailored for second‐order multi‐agent systems (MASs). Based on the edge event‐triggered mechanism (EETM) and the node event‐triggered mechanism (NETM), we propose a hybrid resilient event‐triggered mechanism (HRETM). Our investigation focuses on evaluating the impact of the proposed HRETM on the utilization of communication resources and the convergence performance of MASs. By leveraging the Lyapunov method, we establish the consensus of MASs equipped with the HRETM, ensuring the absence of Zeno behavior. Furthermore, we scrutinize the relationship between convergence performance and triggering times. Subsequently, we address the issue of Denial of Service (DoS) attacks. Theoretical scrutiny affirms that MASs operating with the HRETM can achieve consensus even under DoS attacks, all the while avoiding Zeno behavior. Finally, simulation examples are provided to vividly illustrate the efficacy of our proposed HRETM in the presence of DoS attacks.
