Implementation of automated systems in logistics: The key to efficiency and environmental sustainability

Currently, logistics is facing many challenges, including the need to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize the ecological footprint. In today’s dynamic logistics environment, automated systems are essential to improve efficiency and sustainability. Automated systems represent key solutions for modern logistics operations, which enable not only faster and more accurate processing of orders but also more efficient use of resources. At the same time, these systems have a positive impact on the environment, as they enable routes to be optimized, fuel consumption to be reduced, and emissions to be minimized. This article deals with the application of automated systems, specifically artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML), to dynamically reallocating resources and optimizing logistics operations. The article proposes a system for implementing automated logistics systems. The implementation of these technologies in warehouse management (WMS), route planning, and demand prediction leads to cost reduction, shorter delivery times, and increased efficiency of the entire chain. The proposed system allows companies to gradually introduce automation, minimize risks, and maximize efficiency, sustainability, and competitiveness on the market. This research thus not only improves the efficiency of logistics operations but also contributes to the discussion on the future form of sustainable and innovative logistics.
