Redesign of the Manual Parcel Sorting Process in a Selected Company
This thesis focuses on proposing a redesign of the manual parcel sorting process at a specific company depot. The main objective is to analyse the parcel sorting process’s current state and suggest a more efficient and optimised procedure. The introduction defines the problem and sets out the objectives of the thesis. Subsequently, an analysis of the current issues surrounding the manual parcel sorting process redesign is conducted, emphasising the methods and procedures used in the analysis. Another section of the thesis concentrates on analysing and defining the company’s current state, including its position, goals, intentions, and business environment. Following this, an analysis of selected logistic processes is carried out using a specified analytical method to identify weaknesses and improvement opportunities. The analysis outputs are evaluated, and a specific proposal for redesigning the manual parcel sorting process at the chosen company depot is presented. The final part of the thesis evaluates the results. It formulates a conclusion summarising the entire process and contributes to a better understanding and resolution of manual parcel sorting issues.
