Research on an 8-channel data transmission and reception system based on ZYNQ
To enhance the accuracy and rate of data acquisition, a high-precision, multi-channel data transmission and reception system was designed. A data acquisition and transmission framework was proposed based on the ZYNQ platform with an "ARM+FPGA" architecture, leveraging the collaborative operation of the Processing System (PS) and Programmable Logic (PL) to achieve data communication functionality. The system was implemented using Xilinx's Zynq-7000 series chip, integrating the AD7606 for eight-channel data acquisition and the DAC71408 for eight-channel bipolar voltage synchronous output. In the PL domain, a Block Design methodology was adopted for the overall controller design, and custom IP cores were developed for the AD7606 and DAC71408 drivers. The PS domain was responsible for generating the bipolar voltage output. Regarding the software implementation, after A/D conversion, data was stored in Block RAM (BRAM) and communicated with the PL section via the AXI4 bus. Finally, the ARM processor facilitated the bipolar voltage output through software-driven control. Experimental results demonstrated that the PS domain allows for algorithm design and verification. The maximum delay for synchronous acquisition and output across six channels was measured at 60 μs, effectively supporting reliable eight-channel data transmission and reception
