THREATS AND RISKS, PROSPECTS AND OPPORTUNITIES OF MODERN EDUCATION IN THE CONTEXT OF DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION

Digital modernization is a reality of our time, when information technologies are totally woven into the social life of society, the processes of education, training and upbringing. Digitalization transforms the formed social processes and thus generates certain risks and threats. The purpose is to analyze the current state of education in the context of the digital paradigm, identify the risks and threats, as well as the prospects and opportunities for its further development. The object of the research is the modern education system and the new digital paradigm. The author analyzed the role of digitalization in modern education, identified the risks and threats, classical and digital models of education, prospects and opportunities for its further development. The conducted research allowed to conclude that in conditions when digital technologies have become an integral part of modern education, it is necessary to find ways to optimally balance between digital and classical forms of education.
