Avaliação do estudante da Educação Superior do SINAES

Introduction: The evaluation of higher education students of the National System of Evaluation of Higher Education (Sinaes) has as instruments the student questionnaire and the National Student Performance Exam (Enade). The results are part of quality indicators of courses and institutions. Objective: To identify, gather into themes and describe studies on student evaluation. Method: This is exploratory research with a qualitative approach and bibliographic-documentary strategy. A narrative review was carried out with the selection of official documents and publications indexed in three databases. The articles were grouped into three themes: Quality indicators; Performance and profile of the student based on the questionnaire; and Cognitive and curricular content assessment of the test. Results: The use of the indicators is related to regulation, government programs (financing), self-evaluation (internal improvements for external evaluation) and publicity. However, some evaluative aspects, such as the social skills of students and the social responsibility of the institution, have not been contemplated. The student's performance and profile are associated with individual (socioeconomic), institutional (pedagogical and modality) performance factors and support/access policies. As for the test, the studies identified that the matrix/items represent a cut and partially contemplate the National Curriculum Guidelines and follow the current contents. Psychometric and test validity studies are verified. Conclusion: The student's evaluation reveals information for internal actions of courses, institutions and could include other dimensions. The compilation of studies expanded the possibilities of using data and approaches for evaluating Sinaes.
