MODELING OF QUEUEING SYSTEMS ACCORDING TO UNIFORM DISTRIBUTIONPRINCIPLE
The article is devoted to the study of queuing systems that include a uniform probability distribution principle. This is important for assessing the average values of waiting time in a queue and the lengths of queues in the system. Neither in scientific articles on mass service, nor in numerous books devoted to this issue, is there any mention of the uniform probability distribution law. Moreover, in Kendall's three-position symbolism for queuing systems there is not even a place or symbol to designate such a queuing systems. This article aims, on the one hand, to explain this is so, and on the other hand, to demonstrate conclusively that for such systems it is impossible to obtain an analytical solution using the spectral solution method of the Lindley integral equation. Therefore, there is a need to obtain such solution using other possible methods, since the uniform principle is a well-known law of probability theory and plays a major role in simulation modeling. Well-known literature on simulation modeling, in particular on the universal GPSS WORLD system – discrete-event modeling of queuing systems, contains many examples of queuing system models with a uniform distribution principle.
