A RF Energy Wake-Up Circuit
This paper proposes a radio frequency wake-up circuit (RFWC) for waking up wireless sensing nodes. The RFWC introduced in this study exhibits zero static power consumption in the absence of remote-control signals. This feature effectively mitigates the substantial standby power consumption that arises when the load remains inactive for extended periods, thereby significantly prolonging the lifespan of wireless switches. The system's operations can be flexibly adjusted based on the signals transmitted by the remote controller, enabling functionalities such as timed and periodic switching. Upon conducting tests, it was observed that under a signal source power of 33dbm, the maximum operational distance achieved was 13.509m. The wake-up time recorded was 53.2 seconds, with a received power of −8dbm at this instance.
