Experimental Characteristics of Low-Power Optical Injection Locking for Freespace Optical Communications
In this study, the basic principles of the optical injection locking technique as well as the system characteristics are investigated in order to apply it to the field of satellite laser communication to increase the sensitivity of the system In the experiment, optical injection locking was achieved and the locking range at different injection ratios was measured, as well as the linewidth coupling factor of the Distributed Feedback (DFB) laser. Based on these experimental results, a feedback loop was designed to achieve automatic wavelength tracking and improve system stability. Future work will focus on achieving nanowatt-level locking to further enhance the precision and stability of laser communication.
