Abstract

Sensing body vital signals, such as ECG, EEG, EMG, and EOG (ExG), is crucial for human health monitoring. To achieve accurate signal acquisition, sensing frontends are expected to have high input impedance <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$(Z_{1\mathrm{N}} > 10\mathrm{M}\Omega)$</tex> to reduce signal attention, wide input linear range <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$(IR > 1 V_{PP})$</tex> to better tolerate large artifacts and interferences, and low power consumption (<10µW) to prolong battery life. Recently, direct digitizing sending frontends with high resolution and low power consumption have been well developed, demonstrating their potential to meet these requirements. However, the existing state-of-the-art still faces challenges with either limited Z<inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">IN</inf> or limited IR.
