Event-Triggered Practical Consensus of DC Microgrid Secondary Control with Prescribed Performance

This article describes a secondary control method for islanded DC microgrids that is based on events and uses prescribed performance control to ensure required transient performance while sharing current and regulating voltage. The developed controller is capable of confining the deviations of both the bus voltage and current sharing within predefined bounds. A carefully designed event-triggering mechanism initiates control execution based on relative control error, while the developed controller ensures convergence with the specified transient performance of the microgrid system. The protocol guarantees that no converter displays Zeno behavior. Ultimately, we offer a simulation example to substantiate the practical performance of the proposed strategies.
